WPP has recently integrated Anthropic’s advanced Claude AI models into its WPP Open marketing system through Amazon Bedrock, a fully managed service from Amazon Web Services (AWS). This integration aims to enhance the capabilities of WPP’s 114,000 marketers across its global network of agencies by providing them with advanced AI tools to deliver innovative solutions and achieve better client results.

The Claude model family, including Opus, Sonnet, and Haiku, brings AI-driven performance, intelligence, and speed to WPP’s marketing efforts. These models can understand and interpret complex briefs, produce high-quality content, and process various formats, such as photos, charts, graphs, and technical diagrams.

WPP’s choice to access Claude 3 via Amazon Bedrock allows the company to augment human expertise, scale capabilities, and improve the efficiency of tasks ranging from ideation to content generation and design. Claude 3 Opus is known for its ability to reason across vast datasets, enhancing brand identity understanding in marketing content. Claude 3 Sonnet excels in code and text generation, while Claude 3 Haiku is designed for speed, making it the fastest of the Claude 3 models.

Stephan Pretorius, WPP’s Chief Technology Officer, stated, “At WPP, we are always exploring ways to push creative boundaries and deliver exceptional results for our clients. By collaborating with leading technology companies like AWS and Anthropic, we leverage cutting-edge AI to enhance our processes, empower our teams, and drive innovation.”
