Ogilvy in the UK has regained some of its creative momentum after a series of challenges, such as the loss of key talent to competitors like Publicis Groupe, where they now lead brands such as Leo Burnett, Fallon, and Publicis.Poke.

Ogilvy has now entered a market segment traditionally dominated by adam&eveDDB with Halifax’s new Ready-Made Investments product. This initiative aims to encourage non-professionals to explore investing through a social media campaign.

A senior marketing manager at Halifax stated, “Many people believe investing isn’t for them. Halifax wants to demonstrate how simple, easy, and accessible investing can be through the Halifax Ready-Made Investment platform. The campaign seeks to shift customer perceptions formed during the ‘Wolf of Wall Street’ era by showcasing modern-day investing.”

Ogilvy’s managing partner added, “Halifax is a brand for the people. Consumers seek both entertainment and education in social media channels, and this creative approach from a financial services brand will stand out in the highly commoditized and often overly-serious investment sector.”
